No matter which culture you’re from, whether you are an experienced dancer or a beginner – Move Your Town is THE big dance festival for everyone.
Offering a varied program, Hannovers residents are invited to experience the citiy's multifaceted dance scene while enjoying a dance show or taking part in one of the courses.
Modern Dance, Jazz Dance, Swing, Salsa, Orient & Tribal Style, Folk Dance, Breakdance battles and many other genres will be presented on different stages at the main train station, Galerie Luise, in the Historische Museum, Landesmuseum, Sprengel Museum and at the KinderTheaterHaus.
Many of the groups offer hands-on activities right after their shows. That way the audience can practice what it has seen right away.
New this year is the workshop program during the preceding week from April 24 to April 28 in selected local cultural centres.
To enrich ones own personal dance experience, different teachers offer various genres of dance for tryout.
Some of the ballet schools offer trial courses during the preceding week.
The big Move your Town finale will take place in the arts and culture centre Eisfabrik.
Music and video projections will turn the halls into a vibrant and seething dance centre.
